It's beginning to look like Christmas

We love Daddy's day off...Especially his little Puddle.  

 All ready to go to Reilly's school Christmas Program.

 The 2nd Grade class..singing Jingle Bell Rock and O Holy Night. 

 Reilly did so well.  He hit every note during his solo in Jingle Bell Rock.  We love to hear him sing.

 These two...said they would sit on Santa's lap...but as you can see they are making sure to keep their distance!!!

 Friday night we had some good friends in for supper!!! 

Andrew brought his talent and performed a great magic show.  

 I thought the kids would have fun decorating a gingerbread house!
Reilly took off right away with the frosting and did a great job. 

Sarina on the other hand thought all of the candy was for her and threw a womping fit when

Reilly reached for any to decorate the house.  She has huge tears behind this fake smile.

 

 Oh those puffy eyes and tears were gone in no time and she was giggling again!

 And licking up the extra frosting!

 Serious business.  

 Great job kids! It is an adorable little Gingerbread House!

 Thanks to Aldi for the kit!!! It made our kids day!!

 We are finding fun ways to stay occupied during these dreary, rainy winter days with nerf gun fights!

Grandma gave us a few indoor snowballs and they are usually flying too!!!

I'm not sure if I should be glad or not that we don't have a "circle" in our house.
It would be great for chasing.  Instead they have to be creative and hid in the showers and behind the couches!!

 Daddy had this past Saturday off so we took the kids out with us for the evening to browse

the stores to see all of the Christmas decorations and lights!  

They had fun...especially when they got to play on the outdoor Caterpillar play set at the mall with no coats!!!! 

Together is our favorite place to be!

 And to end this post are my two favorite kiddos...all dressed up Sunday morning and

looking forward the Christmas program at church!

November & Happy Thanksgiving

How did this month fly by with out any blog posts???
Eek I'm getting behind on pictures so here's the highlights of November!!
Our not so little Sarina cuddling up for her last night in a toddler bed.

 

The transition to her big girl bed went well.  She loved having such a big bed to sprawl out in...until her brother hops in.  I went up to check on her one evening after she very unwillingly went to bed and found her like this.  The surrender position!

And then walked across the hall to check on this sweet sleeper.

It was great to be with Reilly's class again.  

We had a Thanksgiving Stations Day and the kids had so much fun being Pilgrims and Indians.

We celebrated Thanksgiving and November/December birthday's at Grandpa and Grandmas.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.  God has been so good to us...of which we count our Blessings daily.  On Thanksgiving we went to Grandpa and Grandma Sweetie-Pie's for supper.  Grandpa Saathoff made three delicious pies...assuming the pumpkin one was good...I'm not a fan.  The Apple and Blueberry on the other hand, were awesome! He's so talented and I'm always thrilled to eat his good cooking/baking!

This desert treat was so fun and they turned out super cute!!

Now off to the Christmas Season...Another season to count our Blessings.

Looking forward to Christmas cards in the mail...family gatherings...baking cookies...shopping...

wrapping presents...the kid's Christmas programs but most of all remembering the humble birth of our Savior Jesus CHRIST !!! Love this time of year!!!

Friday night was the Congerville School Fall Carnival.

The kids watched the clock all afternoon and were in the van and buckled at exactly 5:00.

This is really bad coloring for a photo but it showed their excitment better than the next one!

  I like the coloring lots better but they have fake smiles...still cute and shows the pretty fall colors in the background!

 And here they are AFTER the carnival...all painted up and with lotsa loot!

 Yikes...that's a scary pumpkin and Aww...a cute, little, pink kitten.

 

 Crafting...

I am very slowly adjusting to being a wife of a car salesman.  Evenings are long and it's getting pretty frequent that we are driving separate to events.  I hate going places by myself with the kids...but it's just something I'm going to have to get used to.  Saturday seems to be the LONGEST day of the week. The kids are typically at each others necks all day and I am usually out of patience by 10:00 am. I figured if I would spend more time with them they would MAYBE, just maybe be more kind to each other...So I tried it yesterday...and it seemed to work!!! We did crafts and listened (and sang a long) to children's hymns all morning together.  I love to color and so does Reilly.  Sarina lost interest after about 5 minutes and just dinked around...AND there was minimal fighting!!! Yay! 

First we colored a leaf picture and decorated it with glitter.  

 All finished!

 After coloring we made "I'm Thankful For" pinwheels and decorated them with stickers.

Reilly is thankful for animals, food and drink, sunshine and rain, family, the bathroom, toys, home and church, cozy bed and the swing set.  Sarina is thankful for food, family, fruit, sunshine, music, Sunday school, church, trees and birdseed.  Love what their little minds think up.

Super fun meaningful craft!  I don't care for clutter especially on my fridge...but that's going to have to change...they love to admire their work and hate throwing it away.  We might just have to give away a few things...so don't be surprised Grandmas if we show up with a gift for you!!!

 And these two goons scrubbed the whole kitchen floor with Clorox wipes yesterday too!

They were eating white cheddar popcorn, spilling it all over the kitchen floor and chairs.  I told them to clean up their mess...and for once they took me seriously.  I walked into the kitchen and saw them walking around with wipes under their feet.  Needless to say the whole house now smells like lemons!  I almost got upset that they used up half of a new bottle of wipes but then realized why bother?! I have a clean kitchen floor that I didn't have to scrub!

 

I love these two soooo much! Cherishing their smiles, fights, cries, singing and giggles...one day at a time!!

To to top the weekend Sarina came down with a temp Sunday morning.  Not exactly what I had planned.  We haven't been together as a family much and I was hoping we could ALL go to church together.  Change in plans.  While Kent and Reilly went to church and Sunday school I let Sarina soak in a bubble bath.  She loves taking baths and usually has to be drug out of it!  This evening she was trying to come up with lots of excuses for taking another one...sorry sweets...not tonight!

 The afternoon was beautiful so we decided to hop in the van and cruise through the country to see the trees.  We came up to this lane that had trees lining both sides...It was so pretty!

God has blessed us with a warm, colorful fall!
