Our Papa

August 3rd Daddy gave us quite a scare when he fell out of a tree 20 feet. He was in very critical condition for over a week.
With many prayers and trusting God's healing hand Daddy pulled through.
The Doctors were amazed at his recovery. He really is a Miracle...we are so Thankful!
We had so many people offer to keep the kids while Kent and I spent time with Mom and Dad in the hospital.  Dad went from ICU rooms to Intermediate to Rehab in 3 long weeks.  The kids didn't get to see him until he had a room in rehab.  They were thrilled to give him their love!

Three weeks after the accident Daddy got to come home.  Early that morning Kent and I were on a walk and saw a double rainbow in the west...which is pretty rare.  I believe God was sending his welcome home gift to Mom and Dad.
 Praise the Lord they're home.
We love you Dad and Mom.  It was an exhausting 3 weeks.  I'm so glad we had each other through this time along with many family and friends who prayed and helped us through...but most of all I'm so thankful God has been merciful and is continuing to heal you Daddy.

First Day of School~2017

I'm finally getting caught up on all of my pictures!!!
August 16th was Reilly and Sarina's first day of school.

Our Fourth Grader

 Our Kindergartner

For one year they get to be in the same school. How fun!
Reilly did some great artwork on his chalkboard he made in bible school this year.
Headed to the bus stop.

I always wonder if the butterfly's in their stomachs start flying in circles when the bus is actually coming down the road.

Thrilled to be in school again!
There goes my sweet kiddos...I miss them during the day.  It's awful quiet at home now.
And they made it to school.

Sarina is headed to class now.  Her sweet smile says I'm so big and can do this myself!
I think I'm going to cry.  She has been looking forward to this day for a long time now...it's nice to know she's not in tears and having a hard time being gone all day.  She loves to be around other kids!

And there's my charming boy...I hope he can always enjoy learning.
Love you both and hope it is a wonderful year of school.

Late Summer Pictures

Our yearly pictures sometimes don't get updated as often as they should!
We were out swimming one afternoon and it got cloudy so I decided it would be a good time to snap a few of these cuties!!!
Maybe not as cloudy as I thought...their eyes are still a little squinted.

 He's growing up too fast!!!!!
Love, Love, Love!!!

Wiegand Family Weekend

July 27th

We were able to spend the next weekend with Kent's family.
Brad, Dee and the kids came home for a few days.
On Thursday we hiked in Matthiessen State Park.
Great photo bomb Kendyn!

Gotta get dirty or its no fun!

 Hot, hungry and tired hikers!
So...we had to hit the root beer stand before heading home!
Pretty sure we took up half of the restaurant.
After hiking we went back to our house to swim and have a pizza party!
We celebrated the June, July and August birthdays.

July 29th

On Saturday we had lunch together at the Merc. and then swam in Curt and Amber's pool.
In the afternoon and evening we were fishing and had supper at the Cabin.
These kids love to fish.

While we were all together we updated the family photo!
Fun times together again!

Zimmerman Family Vacation

St. Louis, MO

July 17th

Dad took us to St. Louis this year for our Zimmerman Family vacation.
On the way there Daddy road with Reilly, Sarina and me.  We stopped in Springfield for lunch and to walk through Scheels. Grandpa was a little frightened to ride the ferris wheel.
Me and the Puddle!
Getting higher and higher!  It was such a fun ride.  The kids giggled the whole time!
These two wanted their picture taken with Mr. Lincoln.
We arrived at our hotel about the same time Grandma and Uncle Andrew and Benjamin and Laurel with the kids.
We swam some and then went out for supper.

July 18th St. Louis Zoo

The next morning we got up really early to get to the Zoo.
Mainly to get to some exhibits for free but also to beat the heat!
Petting the sharks and stingrays.

Sarina was getting really close to talk "Bear" to Mr. Polar Bear.
This picture cracks me up!
Sitting on these fun little froggies...
Looks like Reilly has done that before!
What a cute little buz head.
The hungry hipo...

He's also sat in the hipo a time or two...

Uncle Andrew getting some climbing in...along with identifying all of the trees in the Zoo.

I loved the butterfly house.  SO many awesome wings and plants to see.

Take a picture Mom! And Sarina talking to the penguin.

The Sea Lion Show.

And a long train ride to finish our sweaty day at the ZOO!

Kent came to the hotel after work on Tuesday.  After supper we decided to go to a rock climbing place.  It was a lot of fun...kinda scary for me at first but once I trusted my rope I was able to get to the top.
Now the kids are asking if we can go back for their birthdays!

Sarina was a great little climber...she didn't ever make it to the top though.
Reilly, on the other hand, was a monkey.  He'd speed climb walls over and over.
Uncle Andrew's got him hooked!! Ha!
 Go Daddy Go!

July 19th

Another early morning...headed to the City Museum.
I didn't have my camera with me...just my phone so the pictures aren't the greatest.
It was a really fun Museum...lots to do and TONS of climbing.
We had the kids all matching...so we could keep track of them all!

July 19th

And on the last morning we slept in...except for Kent...he got up early and went to work.
We ate a later breakfast and swam for a while before we packed up and headed home.
It was a fun trip and great to spend time together as a family!
